Description

What this equipment is and what it's designed for.

This self-adhesive wound reproduces a venous leg ulcer, a loss of substance in the tissue of the leg caused by chronic venous insufficiency. The exudation phase shown represents the most common ulcer (between 60% and 80% of all ulcers) when untreated. During wound cleansing, fibrin and excess exudate have to be removed. This small wound sticks by itself and is ideal for placing on the ankle or on the leg. For more prolonged use it can be fixed with a special skin adhesive. All the materials used in this product are dermatologically harmless.
