What this equipment is and what it's designed for.

This self-adhesive wound reproduces a venous leg ulcer, a substance defect in the tissue of the leg resulting from chronic venous insufficiency. The granulation phase shown corresponds to the most common ulcer (from 60% to 80% of all ulcers) at the moment when granulation tissue forms. At this stage it is very important to choose the right dressing in order to avoid healing disorders (persistence of fibrin). This small wound sticks by itself and works well on the ankle or on the leg. For prolonged use it can be fixed with a special skin glue. All the materials in the product are dermatologically harmless.
