Description

What this equipment is and what it's designed for.

This moulage shows the sacral area with a pressure ulcer at an untreated stage. The tissue has died from continuous pressure and necrotic tissue is visible. The true extent of the necrotic area cannot be determined and requires surgical treatment. The moulage sticks to simulated patients or to manikins and, for long training sessions, it can be fixed with a special skin glue. The anal cleft is represented in order to show the typical difficulties when applying the dressing.
