Description

What this equipment is and what it's designed for.

This set includes self-adhesive silicone wounds that reproduce grade 3 pressure ulcers with undermining and tunnelling. They stick directly onto the simulated patient’s skin, come away without leaving residue, and can be reinforced with FX Glue Gel for extra adhesion if needed.

The wound cavity holds a pus-like gel that is warmed slightly before use. After the session the cavity can be cleaned out with water, alcohol and swabs and refilled with gel or another simulated product, so the wound-care exercise can be repeated.

They are reusable: clean with warm water, dry thoroughly and store on the original plastic sheet in a cool, dark place. They can be finished with simulated blood, make-up, dirt or soot to suit the scenario.
