Description

What this equipment is and what it's designed for.

ULTRASOUND MENTOR is a modular, mixed-reality simulator for diagnostic and interventional ultrasound training. It combines interchangeable manikins (male, female, paediatric and interventional), commonly used probes and a didactic environment with step-by-step instructions, a 3D anatomical map and a probe positioning assistant.

A single platform covers several specialties: point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS), echocardiography, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics and ultrasound-guided procedures. It supports progression from basic to advanced technical and cognitive skills, with common and rare cases available at any time.

The range also includes TEE EXPRESS, a portable simulator packed in a carry-on case for practising transoesophageal echocardiography with an actual modified TEE probe. Configurations are extended with manikin packages, clinical modules and the MyCase case editor.

MODULAR PLATFORM WITH INTERCHANGEABLE MANIKINS:

Male, female, paediatric and interventional manikins that are easily swapped to suit the training module.
Realistic, accurate landmarks on each manikin to assist probe positioning.
A range of commonly used probes, quickly switched between TTE/TEE and TAS/TVS approaches.

DEDICATED MANIKINS:

Male: transthoracic, transabdominal, transoesophageal, posterior and other approaches within the same case.
Female: transabdominal and transvaginal scanning, moving fetus and an add-on 2nd trimester abdomen.
Paediatric: scanning in lying or upright positions.
Interventional: live tracking of a real needle or aspiration syringe, with snap-in anatomy cartridges featuring palpable landmarks that simulate puncture and tissue and vessel compression.

MYCASE AND MENTORLEARN:

The MyCase editor creates training cases from real patient OB/GYN or echocardiography volumes, with patient history, findings and expected measurements.
MentorLearn, a cloud-based management system, administers curricula and trainees, enabling remote learning, results monitoring and video capture of sessions for debriefing.
