Description

What this equipment is and what it's designed for.

BodyWorks Eve is a full-body manikin you genuinely scan: the probe goes from the clavicle to the pubic bone, around the posterior flank, and the palpable landmarks are where they should be. What appears on screen is ultrasound from real patients.

It is a complete platform: the same manikin combines BodyWorks PoCUS ultrasound with HeartWorks echocardiography, transthoracic (TTE) and transoesophageal (TEE), with its TEE probe and 3D cardiac anatomy on a second screen. You choose the configuration you need — PoCUS only, PoCUS with TTE or with TEE, or PoCUS with TTE and TEE — and can extend it later with the HeartWorks module.

What separates it from a static simulator are the active scenarios: the instructor controls from a tablet how the patient evolves, and the vital signs and scan findings change with them. A case that starts stable can deteriorate while the trainee is scanning, which is exactly what happens in a critical care bay.

You can work by protocol — eFAST, RUSH, FICE — or by pathology, and the needling add-on allows ultrasound-guided procedures on the manikin itself using a retractable needle that does not pierce it.
