This moulage shows a colostomy, the most common type of stoma creation. The terminal colostoma is usually found in the middle of the body or on the left side of the body and shows the colon sewn in. The colon is under skin level. Due to the use of a special plastic compound, all common stoma bags adhere to the moulage.

Description

What this equipment is and what it's designed for.

This moulage shows a colostomy, the most common type of stoma. The end colostomy is usually located on the midline of the body or on the left side and shows the colon sutured. The colon lies below skin level. Thanks to a special plastic compound, all the usual stoma bags adhere to the moulage. The model is used for measuring with the stoma template, cleaning the skin with water and fitting the base plate and the bag. The moulage is on a stand from which it can also be removed.
