Description
What this equipment is and what it's designed for.
The torso uses the same SimScope technology as the basic version: placing the stethoscope over the correct anatomical locations plays the programmed heart, lung or bowel sound from an extensive library of sounds and pathological conditions.
The difference from the basic model is Wi-Fi connectivity between the stethoscope and the torso, letting the instructor change sounds remotely or integrate them into a scenario-based simulation, without needing to pause practice to reconfigure the equipment.
It is intended for paediatric training where the auscultation exam needs to be customised within a broader clinical scenario.
