Description

What this equipment is and what it's designed for.

Our MATT paediatric auscultation simulator is a highly effective tool for learning the points and sounds of auscultation, with an extensive library of sounds with amplified detail so learners know what to look for when auscultating cardiac, bowel or lung sounds.

The simulator represents the body of a paediatric patient with all relevant features and allows students to learn the anatomical landmarks for auscultation and follow the examination procedure.

Features

GENERAL:
  • All auscultation points are illuminated.
  • Sounds can be transmitted to an external speaker.
  • Realistic skin sensation.
  • Anterior and posterior auscultation points.
  • Rotating platform.
  • Easy, intuitive and elaborate are the main principles. Extensive sound library in accordance with American Thoracic Society guidelines.
  • Auscultation points and backlight can be individually activated or deactivated, volume and intensity of sounds can be adjusted and many other features.
  • Any real stethoscope can be used.
  • RR and HR sounds can be changed in real time.
  • Compare sound recordings.
  • Sounds match ECG diagrams and other vital parameters.
  • The simulator software allows you to analyse sounds in all four areas: heart, anterior lungs, posterior lungs and bowel. To get more details about a sound (noise/pathology), you can compare the sound waves of two different sounds from the same auscultation area.
  • The software also displays ECG and RR graphs.
SOUNDS:
  • 44 heart sounds
  • 26 lung sounds
  • 18 abdominal sounds
