What this equipment is and what it's designed for.

This 4-part model, at twice life size, describes all the main structures of the human heart in great detail.

The right side is detachable, allowing the internal chambers and valves to be exposed. The left auricle and ventricle wall can also be removed to show the atrium, the mitral valve, the ventricle and the papillary muscles.

It is mounted on a base with a stand.
