Description

What this equipment is and what it's designed for.

The ENDO MENTOR SUITE is a multi-specialty endoscopy platform. Four simulators share a single base — GI Mentor for gastrointestinal endoscopy, BRONCH Mentor for bronchoscopy, URO Mentor for endourology (with the TURP modules) and HYST Mentor for hysteroscopy — and you move between them without changing equipment or room.

Each specialty is bought as a software package for the same platform, so a department can start with one and add the others later. Training uses real endoscopes adapted for simulation — colonoscope, duodenoscope, bronchoscope, cystoscopes and ureteroscopes, resectoscope — and physical instruments on an ergonomic, self-sufficient platform.

It suits self-directed learning, proctored training and proficiency-based assessment alike. Every simulator is managed from MentorLearn, the course management system that handles users, curricula and performance reports.

  • Recognise the lesion, take the biopsy and handle the working instruments.
  • Carry out therapeutic manoeuvres: haemostasis, resection and retrieval.
  • Manage the patient during the procedure, sedation and complications included.
  • Coordinate the scope hand with the instrument hand.
