Description

What this equipment is and what it's designed for.

This product is a simulator for introducing an endoscope into the upper gastrointestinal tract and carrying out an examination. The endoscope can be introduced both transorally and transnasally, and reproduced ulcers and polyps are included for observation.
Features:
– The simulator is made of silicone rubber and, when the endoscope is introduced, the feel is that of a human body. The colour is also close to that of the human body.
– It supports transoral and transnasal introduction.
– On the transnasal route there is an adjustment for cases of difficult introduction. The introduction technique or the appearance can be modified (deviation of the nasal septum to the right or to the left).
– It allows endoscopic examination of the oesophagus, the stomach and the duodenum to be practised. In endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), cannulation of the papilla can also be practised.
– In the stomach, a gastric ulcer and an early gastric cancer can be observed. Four types of polyp from the Yamada classification, types I to IV, can also be attached for observation.
– In the duodenum, an ulcer is reproduced.
The face opens along the midline in order to understand the anatomical structure of the nasal and oral cavities and of the larynx.
