What this equipment is and what it's designed for.

The colonoscopy simulator is a training model for practising the introduction of the colonoscope. It is made of a special silicone rubber which, in the field of observation, feels like a living body. The interior colour is also very close to that of the living body.
Features:
– Observation can be carried out by attaching a simulated (observation) polyp in the ascending colon and in the descending colon.
– An LST (laterally spreading tumour) is reproduced in the ascending colon.
By attaching different optional pieces, it allows endoscopic interventions to be practised, such as polyp resection and haemostasis, as well as introduction into the small intestine with a balloon enteroscope.
