Description

What this equipment is and what it's designed for.

This educational kit features a collection of 15 full-colour 3D-printed canine heart slices. Each model is a precise replica of an original slice obtained from a real plastinated heart, sectioned according to the standard echocardiographic planes, accurately representing the anatomical views captured by ultrasound projections during a cardiac examination. To simulate clinical practice, the kit includes a 3D-printed ultrasound probe with an integrated laser, enabling users to visualise the orientation and direction of typical echocardiographic projections onto a full heart replica mounted on a pedestal.
The kit is supported by a dedicated online platform, which offers echocardiograms from healthy dogs, a probe-handling tutorial, animated cardiac visuals simulating heartbeats and a detailed anatomical atlas.
All digital content is accessible via a QR code provided with the kit.
