SmartMan RSIM (with eSERT Power)

SmartMan RSIM is a high fidelity full body resuscitation patient simulator that integrates skills, tasks, roles and team dynamics and gives your team realistic run time practice. It provides objective evidence for how the team can improve for the patient. Think of RSIM1 as the last practice before the real thing.

Full body hardware

Full body manikin with one leg for IO practice. Arms and legs are detachable for easy storage and carrying and have their own carry bag. The manikin comes in a wheeled duffel which can be shipped as large luggage on a plane. It has the DTFIS special thoracic build so that pressures in the chest move air in and out as in a real person. A rhythm generator is included so you can practise delivering a shock with your own defibrillator / monitor.

Delta Tidal Flow Interaction System (DTFIS)

The Delta Tidal Flow Interaction System is a proprietary technology found only in SmartMan. It provides accurate measurement, an excellent physical feel and a real time digital display of the volume, rate and timing of air moving in and out of the lungs as it relates to the movement of the chest. You physically feel when the compressor and the ventilator are working against each other, and you hear the suctioning sound of a misdiagnosed bucking the tube just as in a real patient.

Real time patient condition

• Real time health status and maintenance threshold that respond to performance
• Shows the optimal chance for ROSC and the influence of fraction
• Cerebral perfusion updated every second, showing how interruptions and poor quality directly influence brain perfusion
• The trainer can set the initial condition of the patient depending on when the team arrives

Team focus and debriefing

• Team members’ skills performed with the time running as in a real situation
• Influence on the patient of quality of skills, timeliness, and team communication
• Quick-View graphs give a synopsis within 30 seconds; a second level pinpoints which actions need improved communication
• Peri-shock analysis: times from analysis to shock, total times for each phase, quality of skills before and after, hands-off times
• Code Leadership System: command structure and team leader role made explicit, roles defined by number of responders, closed loop communication
• Can be used in the classroom or at a distance, with the trainer controlling SmartMan operations over video conferencing software

AI aided analysis

AI analyses and summarises key information in simple to understand graphs, focusing on what will have the greatest impact on the patient, with quick view graphs and tables for evidence based debriefing and a graphic display of peri-shock analysis.

eSERT Power included

RSIM products include eSERT Power, the cloud application that collects, cleans and validates your results data from all manikins and any location, then creates customised graphical displays. It corrects for misspelled logins and nicknames, only sends new data and can run live or at a specific time. Advanced team analysis covers mock code performance, scenarios performed, team members, roles performed, critical events and peri-shock related data.

eSERT Power includes initial training on setup and use, customisation of 5 graphic display pages, no cost to connect up to 10 manikins, 5,000 performance results and 24 months of server time. Internet is required for the first login and to send results data, but not while performing activities. A Microsoft PowerBI login is required to view the displayed pages.

Ships as a full body manikin with IO access in a wheeled duffel, and includes QCI (Quality Control of Information module), the SmartMan Knowledge Bank and peri-shock analysis.

No limit on the number of users, no user fees, no batteries and free software updates. The software runs on Microsoft Windows 10 or 11; the PC is not included. All SmartMan products carry a one year warranty, extendable to cover years 2 and 3.
