Description
What this equipment is and what it's designed for.
The trainer includes four tissue pads, one for each pitting oedema grade: 1+ with a mild 2 mm indentation and no noticeable swelling; 2+ with a moderate 4 mm indentation that subsides quickly; 3+ with a deep 6 mm indentation that remains briefly and a visibly swollen area; and 4+ with a very deep 8 mm indentation that takes a long time to disappear and marked swelling.
The simulated tissue behaves realistically: the mark left by pressure does not spring back immediately once released, allowing learners to practise identifying the degree of pitting during a physical examination.
It comes with an insert tray, a key card with cleaning and care instructions, and a storage box.
