Description
What this equipment is and what it's designed for.
The main pad reproduces non-pitting (brawny) oedema: a fibrotic tissue that feels extremely hard to the touch and cannot be indented by pressure, unlike pitting oedema.
To let learners compare both textures, the trainer also includes a stage 3+ (6 mm) pitting-oedema pad, which briefly retains an indentation after pressure is applied.
The set comes with an insert tray, a key card with cleaning and care instructions, and a storage box, for practising the differentiation between the two oedema types during physical examination.
