What this equipment is and what it's designed for.

This model, at 5 times life size, shows the oesophagus in longitudinal section, exposing its most common pathologies: two types of ulcer, erosion caused by acid reflux, diverticula, varices and oesophageal cancer.

The longitudinal section allows each condition to be observed in its actual location within the oesophageal wall.

It is mounted on a base with a stand.
