Description

What this equipment is and what it's designed for.

NEWBORN ANGEL is a life-size newborn simulator — 50 cm long and weighing 2.7 kg — designed for students and healthcare professionals to practise basic neonatal procedures with realistic tactile feedback.

It supports training in peripheral venous access and PICC at ten puncture sites, umbilical catheterisation with simulated blood return, nasogastric tube placement with verification of its position in the stomach, endotracheal intubation, ventilation and suctioning of secretions. The skin and veins are made of soft, self-sealing materials, so procedures can be repeated many times.

The torso is flexible and the limbs are jointed, allowing chest compressions and optimal limb positioning for venepuncture. The umbilical cord can be replaced with a navel for scenarios that do not need it.

It comes in three versions: Core, the base simulator; UroPlus, which adds the urinary catheterisation set with female and male inserts; and Real, with the same functionality and an ultra-realistic finish of facial features, hair and skin.
