Description
What this equipment is and what it's designed for.
The TrueForm model reproduces the feel of real breast tissue, with several lumps that can be located by palpation during self-examination practice.
As well as the palpable lumps, it also has ones that cannot be felt and are only visible when the model is lit with a penlight, which makes a very graphic case for why self-examination does not replace mammography: some findings cannot be detected by palpation alone.
It comes with the penlight needed for this demonstration and its own carrying case.
