Description

What this equipment is and what it's designed for.

The middle ear is made up of three ossicles: the malleus, the incus and the stapes. These bones transmit sound from the eardrum to the inner ear and amplify its amplitude. They sit in the tympanic cavity of the temporal bone. Mounted in their natural position, they are small enough to fit on a fingernail. The ossicles are shipped set into custom-cut foam inside a transparent plastic Petri dish, and are easily removed.
