Description

What this equipment is and what it's designed for.

BeautySim™ is a simulator for training in injectable facial aesthetic procedures — botulinum toxin and hyaluronic acid — with advanced haptic feedback and objective analysis of what the learner does. The system pairs a highly realistic head model with a sensorised syringe carrying a unique tracking technology, so drug delivery is reproduced precisely: the volume injected at each point is measured and verified.

A 3D environment shows the needle path and the tactile interaction with the model in real time, and drug density varies realistically as the syringe goes in. The system flags filler injected into subcutaneous arterial vessels, and supports augmented reality with Microsoft HoloLens 2 to explore the subcutaneous vascular structures on the hologram. An ultrasound module with its own probe allows facial anatomy to be visualised before injecting. Instructor and learner interfaces are separate.

Knowledge

What you learn

Patient simulator modality. The competencies this equipment trains, in the language of the training plan.

  • Plan the procedure on the clinical case: target areas and drug volume.
  • Perform botulinum toxin and hyaluronic acid injection with realistic haptic feedback.
  • Identify the danger zones and avoid injecting into subcutaneous arterial vessels.
  • Recognise facial anatomy on ultrasound before injecting.
  • Read the final report and the consequences of the procedure on the patient's expression.
