Description

What this equipment is and what it's designed for.

Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) includes the basic and advanced interventions to be used throughout the stabilization and transport phases for in-hospital and out-of-hospital pediatric emergencies. The PALS course aims to train the evaluation and management of an infant or child with respiratory, circulatory compromises or cardiac arrest. This includes defibrillation, airway management and drug delivery.

Atlas Baby, a life-size PALS manikin, represents a 38-week newborn. Measuring approximately 48 cm in length and weighing around 2.5 kg, it features an intubatable head, a CPR-capable chest, IV arms, and IO/IM legs. A removable umbilical stump with umbilical veins and arteries allows for umbilical catheter insertion and infusion practice. The ribcage’s unique design enables realistic compression during CPR. Additionally, Atlas Baby’s airway is anatomically accurate, with a funnel-shaped larynx and detailed structures including the tongue, nasopharynx, oropharynx, uvula, epiglottis, vocal cords, esophagus, trachea, and lungs. You can perform both oral and nasal intubation using basic and advanced airway management adjuncts.

Atlas Baby is wireless and integrated with REALITi 360. Real-time CPR feedback (both compression and ventilation values) go directly into REALITi 360 and the pulse is controlled by the REALITi 360 settings on the controller. The combination of these two products offers a complete solution for AHA/ERC compliant PALS/EPALS training. The whole system can be used straight out of the box and requires no sophisticated technical setup and maintenance.

REALITi 360 mimics a selection of different patient monitors, defibrillators and ventilators used in pre-hospital and clinical environments. This means that no real devices and no additional connectors are required to deliver training. This saves money, complexity, and the need to source real patient monitors and defibrillators from in/outside the hospital. In addition to PALS-Algorithm training with ATLAS Baby, REALITi 360 on its own allows you to carry out different training for medical teams such as ALS, ACLS, ILS, NLS, ATLS, ECG-/Arrhythmia recognition and treatment, synchronized cardioversion, cardiac pacing and even team training.

Atlas Baby is fully mobile supporting effortless in-situ training.
