Description

What this equipment is and what it's designed for.

This model at twice life size shows all the essential structures of the human heart in great detail. Several pieces can be separated and reveal the atria, the ventricles and the heart valves. The left auricle is removed together with the pulmonary artery and reveals the atrium beneath. The left ventricle can also be opened, and the right ventricle and atrium are opened by means of a flap formed by the right auricle and the myocardium. The sectioned cardiac musculature and the coronary vessels can be seen very clearly on this model. The heart muscle, the fatty tissue, the arteries and the veins are painted by hand in detail; the structures are described on the teaching card (German/English). The model is made of unbreakable plastic and is removably mounted on a stand.
