Description
What this equipment is and what it's designed for.
This MEDICFX facial overlay reproduces severe burns — deep partial- or full-thickness — to the face, and is adapted to fit the SimMan ALS manikin. Each piece is hand-worked and hand-painted, so the burns are never quite identical between units.
It is made from soft, durable silicone with an attached wig, plus punched-in eyebrows and sideburns for added realism. It is fitted using a Velcro strap at the back, with no need to pull it over the manikin’s head.
As with the rest of MEDICFX’s facial overlay range, it should be cared for much like real skin: avoid overstretching the facial openings, clean with warm soapy water, disinfect with isopropyl alcohol, and store in a cool, dry place away from direct light.
