Description
What this equipment is and what it's designed for.
SIMVOX ULTRA turns any manikin, task trainer or examination room into a clinical encounter with a patient who talks back. The SimVox speaker sits next to the simulator the centre already owns, and the PCS AI answers the learner in natural conversation, with no need for anyone to lend a voice from the control room.
The Ultra tier adds the TouchStation: a 32″ touchscreen on a wheeled stand that shows the virtual patient face to face, rotates between portrait and landscape and runs 4 to 6 hours on its battery. The same scenario can run in the browser or on Meta Quest headsets, so one kit covers the classroom, the sim bay and in-situ training.
The educator runs the session from the included tablet: pick one of the 54 library scenarios or author a new one from a short clinical summary, and the platform generates the patient persona and its responses. AI Assessment 2.0 scores the conversation and the session log is available for debriefing. The virtual patient speaks Spanish, Portuguese, English and a dozen more languages.
It is a one-time purchase covering all hardware plus five years of software service and updates.
What you learn
Digital tools modality. The competencies this equipment trains, in the language of the training plan.
- Conduct a clinical interview and take a history from a patient who answers back.
- Break bad news and handle difficult conversations in a safe setting.
- Counsel and educate the patient: antenatal care, childhood vaccination, treatment adherence.
- Combine communication with examination and vital signs on the manikin the centre already owns.
- Show empathy and communication competence: the AI assessment scores both the clinical actions and the way they are communicated.
- Self-assess using the session log, the checklists and the self-debriefing prompts that come with each scenario.
