Description
What this equipment is and what it's designed for.
This block from the SonoEZ series is made from a synthetic material with very realistic ultrasound behaviour, reproducing a fluid-filled blood vessel 6 mm in diameter. It allows the vessel to be located by ultrasound and the needle guided to practise injection or vascular puncture technique.
The material has the particular feature that the channels left by the needle self-seal, so puncture marks stay invisible on the ultrasound image for a long time, allowing the same block to be reused many times. It comes in a plastic container measuring around 12 x 8 x 5 cm.
