SmartMan Airway Management 2

SmartMan Airway Management 2 extends all of the features of Airway Management 1 and provides the highest level of realism for the less commonly used airway management skills. What sets AM2 apart is its use of the latest high-tech materials: greater durability together with greater realism for visibility, touch and feel.

Nasopharyngeal airway

The heightened realism of this design provides realistic training for placing the nasopharyngeal tube. With plenty of lubricant and proper technique it gives excellent practice, and on placement you can move directly to ventilating with real time feedback or on to nasotracheal placement.

Nasotracheal airway

A difficult skill which is only used in special circumstances. The robust design allows full practice of this advanced skill.

Realistic laryngoscopy and tongue edema

Invasive procedures require correct positioning of the head and identification of landmarks as the procedure proceeds. The manikin provides a high level of realism for practice with various perilaryngeal devices and is especially good for placement of the endotracheal tube with laryngoscopy or with a video laryngoscope. Increase the tongue edema to add a higher level of challenge to the training. It records the time the student takes to successfully place the device and verifies that the cuff is properly sealing.

All with ventilations practice

Practise the actual delivery of ventilations with real time feedback. Full airflow timing gives the user the ability to develop the feel for providing air in many different circumstances. The real time ventimeter measures and displays the movement of air into the lungs as it occurs, true to volume and rate of flow.

Delta Tidal Flow Interaction System (DTFIS)

The Delta Tidal Flow Interaction System is a proprietary technology found only in SmartMan. It provides accurate measurement, an excellent physical feel and a real time digital display of the volume, rate and timing of air moving in and out of the lungs as it relates to the movement of the chest. You physically feel when the compressor and the ventilator are working against each other, and you hear the suctioning sound of a misdiagnosed bucking the tube just as in a real patient.

Includes the accurate simulation and location of mouth, teeth, tongue, pharynx, larynx, epiglottis, vocal cords, trachea and oesophagus, with usable lungs and a torso for both non-invasive and invasive procedures, exactly as in AM1.

No limit on the number of users, no user fees, no batteries and free software updates. The software runs on Microsoft Windows 10 or 11; the PC is not included. All SmartMan products carry a one year warranty, extendable to cover years 2 and 3.
