Description

What this equipment is and what it's designed for.

This is the single-segment version (about 13 cm, equivalent to 5 inches) of the small intestine simulator: same 20 mm outer diameter and 15 mm inner diameter, designed to practise end-to-end, side-to-side, end-to-side and functional end-to-end anastomosis, with a stapler or hand suturing. Tightness can be checked by filling the segment with water.

It is made of non-toxic, latex-free silicone, with US patent no. 8,613,621. Production time is 3 to 5 weeks.
