Description

What this equipment is and what it's designed for.

It replicates the first six layers of the abdominal wall — epidermis, dermis, subcutaneous, first fascia, muscle and second fascia — with the particularity that the muscle belly is split into two halves to represent a realistic linea alba, allowing practice of incision and closure through the midline, in addition to the usual suturing of skin and deep planes.

It takes a minimum of 1,500 stitches and has several internal reinforcements to minimise tearing. It is made of non-toxic, latex-free silicone, with a production time of up to 10 business days.
