Description
What this equipment is and what it's designed for.
To develop this realistic reproduction of a human skull, a real skull was digitised with the latest technology and idealised from the point of view of medical teaching. That is, the skull was adjusted to be anatomically ideal: all the anatomical details and structures are present and correspond to the teaching of anatomy. The three-part model consists of skull base, cranial vault and mandible. The teeth correspond to real dentition in position and interdental spacing. The mandible is movably mounted and can be removed. The cranial vault is aligned with the skull base by means of metal pins and is held in place by powerful magnets. This means there is no need for awkward hooks, there are no plastic pins that can break and there is no risk of a gap being left between the vault and the skull base. The model corresponds to an average European adult in size and proportions.
