Description

What this equipment is and what it's designed for.

Unlike bench-top pads, this one is worn thanks to a 2.5 cm nylon strap with an adjustable buckle, allowing the injection to be practised at the real position and angle the patient will use at home.

A rigid plastic backing protects the wearer’s skin, stopping the needle from passing through the pad, while the thickness of the material accepts all types of insulin needles.

It is particularly useful in diabetes education programmes, where the patient — not just the healthcare professional — needs to build confidence before giving themselves insulin for the first time.
