Description

What this equipment is and what it's designed for.

Model of the cranial region with a scalp wound reproduced in relief, for training bleeding control and suturing. The scalp planes are distinct, which forces the trainee to suture layer by layer rather than en masse.

Anatomy

The lesion is reproduced over the cranial region with the depth and orientation typical of an incised-contused wound, so exploring the wound is part of the exercise.

Realism

It allows work on compression and haemostatic suture, on cleaning and on exploring the wound to rule out an underlying fracture. The wound area is replaceable after use.
