What this equipment is and what it's designed for.
This model consists of three medially sectioned lumbar vertebrae with their intervertebral discs. A healthy bone structure is shown on the surface of the upper vertebra and, on the middle vertebra, an osteoporotic bone structure. The lower vertebra shows osteoporosis at a very advanced stage, with collapse of the upper and lower endplates (codfish vertebra). They are removed from the stand separately.
