Description

What this equipment is and what it's designed for.

This doll makes it possible to train nursing staff and other healthcare professionals in a wide variety of clinical procedures. The outward appearance of the model is female, but by fitting the male genitalia the manikin becomes male. It makes it possible to simulate numerous exercises, from the management of a transverse colostomy to tracheostomy, and from intramuscular injection to ophthalmic treatments.
It offers the following features:
– Vaginal irrigation and cervical smear exercises
– Administration of enemas
– Head with a wig for hair styling, hair washing and draping exercises
– Injection site on the buttock for intramuscular injection
– Injection sites on the right and left arm for intramuscular and subcutaneous injections
– Training in full bowel washout, with stomas connected to an internal reservoir system
– Training in the management of gastrostomies, ileostomies and transverse colostomies
– Interchangeable male and female organs
– Male and female urinary catheterisation
– Aural, nasal, tracheostomy and gastrostomy openings and connections for ear lavage, gastric suction and tracheostomy exercises
– Removable dentures
– Separate fingers and toes for bandaging exercises
– Independently positioned eyes for the administration of ophthalmic medication, the removal of foreign bodies and eye irrigation
– Management and drainage of a suprapubic stoma
The joints are hard-wearing and the movements realistic, to the point of allowing pronation and supination of the forearm. It is made of the highest quality vinyl, with great resistance to wear. The surface is smooth and impermeable to water, oils and liniments.
