What this equipment is and what it's designed for.
This life-size plastic skeleton reproduces the pelvis, made up of the hip bones (ischium, ilium and pubis), the sacrum, the coccyx and the pubic symphysis, together with the 4th and 5th lumbar vertebrae.
It is a useful model for studying the relationship between the lower lumbar spine and the bony pelvis.
