Description

What this equipment is and what it's designed for.

Meeka represents a 7-year-old European girl. The overlay is made of soft, durable silicone, hand-painted by special effects artists, with the wig already attached and the eyebrows punched into the silicone. It fits the Laerdal SimJunior manikin best and may also fit other manikins with a similar head size.

It fastens with a Velcro strap at the back, so there is no need to stretch it over the manikin’s head.

Every face is hand-painted to match the character, so no two are identical and the paintwork may vary slightly. The wig is matched as closely as possible to the model, although colour, length or style may vary depending on availability. Accessories shown in the photos are not included.

DIMENSIONS AND MATERIALS:

USE:

Place the overlay over the manikin's face and fasten the Velcro strap at the back
Suggested scenarios: paediatric emergencies, anaphylaxis and family-centred care

CARE:

Handle, store and speak about the overlay with the same respect you would give a patient
Do not overstretch the eye or mouth openings
Do not pull the hair; brush gently, avoiding the hairline and the wig edge
Store in a cool place out of direct sunlight; a display head is recommended
Wash with warm soapy water and disinfect with isopropyl alcohol
If the silicone becomes shiny, wipe with isopropyl alcohol, dry and brush on translucent powder, keeping it off the lips and eyes
If needed, wash the hair with warm water and a little shampoo or conditioner, then air-dry or use a hairdryer on a low setting
Repair minor damage with a silicone repair kit
