Description

What this equipment is and what it's designed for.

Angel Libby is a 32-week gestation stillbirth manikin, created to train the handling of a recent fetal demise within birthing and midwifery scenarios. It also supports training for any professional who needs to care for the family after a stillbirth.

The body’s posture and tone convey the absence of muscle tone, and the skin is hand-painted to reproduce early signs of maceration, including skin slippage, desquamation and bullae (skin bubbles). The lips show a characteristic deep red tone.

The manikin can be bagged and ventilated, with visible chest rise, though intubation is not possible. It is designed for both vaginal birth and caesarean-section scenarios.
