The cervix is reproduced in its real orientation, so visualising it with the speculum is part of the exercise rather than something taken for granted.

The cervices are interchangeable, which allows the finding to be varied and the case of a cervix that is difficult to visualise to be set up. The model also serves for work on communicating with the patient during an intimate examination.
