Description
What this equipment is and what it's designed for.
Product No.: PC-NUE044
Overview
This simulation model is designed for femoral artery puncture training, featuring high anatomical Réalité and eco-friendly materials. It simulates femoral artery pulsation, with visible blood return upon successful punctures, making it suitable for medical schools and healthcare facilities.
Anatomy
Simulates the upper half of an adult body in a supine position with soft, realistic skin.
Clear anatomical landmarks include the upper sternum, rib cage, xiphoid process, umbilicus, groin, anterior superior iliac spine, pubic symphysis, and iliac crest for accurate puncture site identification.
Realism
Equipped with a blood circulation system to simulate femoral artery flow.
Pulsation can be felt below the midpoint of the groin, with a palpable “pop” sensation upon needle entry. Successful punctures result in simulated blood flow at a pulse-consistent rate.
Cleaning
Clean with a damp cloth and neutral detergent; avoid abrasives.
Allow to dry completely before storing and keep out of direct sunlight.

Task trainer modality. The competencies this equipment trains, in the language of the training plan.
- Identify the manubrium, the umbilicus, the groin, the anterior superior iliac spine and the pubic symphysis.
- Palpate the femoral pulse below the midpoint of the inguinal crease.
- Perform femoral arterial puncture at the correct angle.
- Confirm access by the pulsatile reflux of simulated blood.
