Description
What this equipment is and what it's designed for.
The simulator reproduces the female lower-body anatomy with two functional stomas, one colostomy and one ileostomy, made from a soft, flexible material that gives a realistic tactile feel.
It allows practice of stoma dilation, pouch application and, for the colostomy, functional irrigation, using simulated stool whose consistency can be adjusted by adding water and which can be reused across sessions.
It is intended both for nursing staff training and for educating patients and caregivers who need to learn the day-to-day management of an ostomy.
