Realizar los cuidados de higiene y confort: baño en cama, cambio de ropa, lavado del cabello y de la cara, higiene bucal y cuidado de la prótesis dental.
Colocar la sonda nasogástrica y practicar la alimentación por vía oral y nasal y el lavado gástrico.
Ejecutar el sondaje y el lavado vesical femenino y masculino con genitales intercambiables, y administrar enemas.
Administrar inyecciones intramusculares en el deltoides, el glúteo medio, el cuadrante superoexterno del glúteo y el vasto externo, y realizar la punción venosa.
Manejar la vía aérea: intubación endotraqueal, aspiración de secreciones, cuidados de la traqueotomía y oxigenoterapia.
Valorar y curar heridas: desinfección, limpieza, cambio de apósito, hemostasia y vendaje.
