Description

What this equipment is and what it's designed for.

Knee phantom for musculoskeletal ultrasound and ultrasound-guided infiltration incorporates all the anatomy necessary to teach, learn and practice the skills associated with injections and joint aspirations of the knee.

This phantom reproduces the tendons and ligaments of the knee to provide a truly realistic training environment. Learn and practice the psychomotor skills associated with ultrasound-guided or blind insertion of knee injections and aspirations associated with osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.

Features and what's included

What the equipment does and what comes in the box, as described by the manufacturer.

Features

  • The anatomical structure of the knee joint includes:
    • Ligaments of the knee
    • Distal femur bone
    • Proximal tibia/fibula bone
    • Patella/patellar bursa
    • Quadriceps tendon
    • Femur fat pad
    • Quadriceps fat pad
    • Percutaneous adipose tissue
    • Suprapatellar space
    • Cilia of the quadriceps femoris muscle
      • Femur
      • Tibia
      • Proximal fibula
      • Bones
      • Bone capsule
      • Patellar fat pad
      • Quadriceps femoris fat pad
      • Percutaneous fat pad
  • Different pathological conditions of knee joint injuries can be simulated by adjusting the amount of fluid replenished in the patellar bursa and upper bony space.
  • This model has two tubes for the knee fluid spaces, with adjustable fluid volume in the bursa and suprapatellar space.
  • Adjustable volume in bursa and suprapatellar space
  • The knee is preset to 15 degrees of flexion with an additional 10 degrees available with manual adjustment.
  • The preset joint flexion angle of the knee joint model is 15 degrees, which can be extended by 10 degrees to obtain the target angle for knee joint puncture and pull-through operations, simulating different clinical scenarios.
  • The tissue has self-healing properties, allowing more than 1000 punctures to be performed when used with an 18-21 gauge needle.
  • Fluids are automatically expelled so that the model can be used repeatedly for training.
  • Convex surface contour provides a scanning environment similar to the habitus of the human body
  • Lightweight and easy to transport
  • Weight: 1.4Kg
  • Dimensions: 17x13x6 cm

Includes

  • 1 Knee phantom for ultrasound
  • 1 stand/base
