What this equipment is and what it's designed for.

Cricothyrotomy demands a great deal of skill from the professional and can have serious consequences for the patient if it is not performed correctly. Crico Chris makes it possible to train realistic cricothyrotomies routinely and without risk. This manageable trainer has a larynx with an interchangeable conical ligament and skin. Both the skin and the conoid ligament are designed to be rotated progressively through 360°, which allows many exercises before they have to be replaced. A particular feature of Crico Chris is the blood-filled bag located between the skin and the ligament, which lets blood out during the incision and makes the subsequent work more difficult. Crico Chris also offers realistic anatomy and a realistic feel.
