Description

What this equipment is and what it's designed for.

High-fidelity stand-alone trainer that reproduces one of the most difficult airway management scenarios: the ‘can’t intubate, can’t oxygenate’ (CICO) situation in an obese patient whose neck anatomy is barely palpable and who requires emergency front-of-neck access.

The model simulates obesity, poorly palpable neck anatomy, a Cormack-Lehane grade 3-4 laryngoscopic view and difficult bag-valve-mask ventilation. In addition to front-of-neck access, it allows most airway manoeuvres to be practised: bag-valve-mask ventilation, jaw thrust, oropharyngeal airway, laryngeal mask, laryngoscopy and very difficult intubation.

It includes neck skins with integrated mesh and three cutting points, plus replacement tracheas and fat tissue pads so that the procedure can be repeated.
