Description

What this equipment is and what it's designed for.

Automated external defibrillator simulator for training, with no real shock capability, which recognises the position of the pads and corrects incorrect placement. It combines with CPR manikins to build complete basic life support scenarios.

How it works

The unit gives voice prompts like the real device, so the trainee learns to follow them without interrupting compressions. Pad position recognition turns a step that is usually taken for granted into something that can be assessed.

Safety

Because it delivers no shock, it allows work on the safety check of the scene and on the immediate resumption of CPR with no risk at all to the participants.
