Description

What this equipment is and what it's designed for.

VausSim™ is not a phantom: it is a platform that makes the skin of any manikin, simulator or even a live actor scannable, through a network of high-fidelity sensors and RFID reference tags. Scanning is done with one of three simulated probes and the image appears on the monitor as if it came from a real ultrasound machine. It is insensitive to magnetic fields and keeps working while the patient is moved or transported, so ultrasound no longer forces the scenario to stop.

What sets the system apart is the editor: the instructor builds their own library of real ultrasound images, videos and volumes at no extra cost and independently. During a scenario the patient’s pathological state can be changed in real time, and the instructor interface opens on any device with a browser.
