Description

What this equipment is and what it's designed for.

Lateral saphenous venepuncture is the procedure used to access a vein for blood collection or intravenous (IV) injections in dogs.
“Vicky” allows trainees to practise venepuncture of the lateral saphenous vein as well as intramuscular and subcutaneous injections in the upper thigh.
The base is designed for blood collection from a dog in a standing position. The leg can easily be removed from the base, allowing blood collection in lateral recumbency (lying on its side).
