Description

What this equipment is and what it's designed for.

This model reproduces perineal anatomy with a visible cervix and an accessible anal sphincter, and incorporates several layers of embedded mesh with different degrees of silicone softness, to realistically simulate the different tissue planes during suturing.

It includes separate bloodlines at the cervix and at the episiotomy site, allowing bleeding control to be practised alongside suturing technique. It can be sutured multiple times and the stitches removed to repeat the training.

A round-tip needle is recommended; cutting needles can damage the silicone with repeated use.
