Description

What this equipment is and what it's designed for.

This life-size torso with an open back consists of 28 parts and reproduces the anatomical structures with exceptional realism down to the finest details.
All the body systems are represented and fully accessible. The left side shows the main superficial and deep musculature with the vessels and the bones. The open back shows the muscle layers, the vertebral column and the associated nerve branches. A thoracic vertebra, with a segment of the spinal cord, can be removed for a close study of its anatomical details. The head is open and the brain is fully exposed on one side. The neck is open to reveal the muscular, nervous, vascular and glandular structures. The highlighted elements are numbered and annotated on the key card supplied. The male and female urogenital systems are removable and interchangeable.
The removable structures include the following:
– Eye with optic nerve and extraocular muscles
– Cerebral hemisphere, divided along the longitudinal fissure, with the internal structures and the blood vessels on view
